Robot driven out of the ground in Murchison Street

A traffic light pole near Guinea Fowl Service Station was driven out of the ground at about midnight last night.

It is believed that a car was travelling down Egerton Road and turning right into Murchison Street at the robots when the driver failed to brake. He hit the robot and the front of his car was damaged.

According to eyewitnesses, when the car came to a standstill, the driver got out and ran into the service station.

No injuries were sustained.
