Eskom to highlight electricity safety in Bergville

Use electricity safely and responsibly

Eskom will host a roadshow on Wednesday, February 22, in Begville to encourage and educate learners and community members about using electricity safely and responsibly. The roadshow will start at 11am at the Acton Homes Community Hall in Bergville.

The roadshow, which will visit all provinces as part of a nationwide campaign, is led by Eskom’s Sustainability Division.

Eskom officials will engage with learners and community members as they highlight the dangers associated with the unsafe use of electricity. Members of the public will also be advised on how they can play a role in staying safe and reducing electricity-related injuries and fatalities by avoiding vandalism, meter tampering and illegal / unsafe connections.

Members of the media will be taken on a tour around the area to demonstrate some of the issues.
