World-renowned Muazzin to grace Ladysmith with his presence

World-renowned Sheikh Belal Abu Dabaat will grace the town with his presence tomorrow (May 19) at Musjid ul Kibriyaa Mosque (Van Riebeeck Park).

Sheikh Belal has been the Muazzin (the Muslim official of a mosque who summons the faithful to prayer from a minaret five times a day) of Al-Aqsaa for the past 17 years in Jerusalem.

Muazzin will give Azaan for Esha Salaah (evening prayer) and Qiraat will follow after Esha Salaah.

Moulana Saleem Karrim will end off with a short Bayaan (statement).

On Saturday at the Soofie Mosque, Fajr Azaan (morning prayer) will be led by Muazzin, Iqaamah Qiraat after Namaaz.

We are fortunate and blessed to hear the sweet calling to Muslims for prayer.

Did you know: For Muslims, Masjid Al-Aqsaa holds a very important place in our hearts. It is the 3rd most holy site in Islam. It is the location that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was transported to during the journey of Israa and Miraaj. It was the scene for the most extraordinary gathering in the history of mankind – when every Prophet that ever lived gathered together for a congregational prayer behind Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him).
