High school helps Ladysmith community

Friday, June 16, once again saw educator Mr K Bihaspat from Lasec and Wandile Sibisi from Grade 9 make their way to the heart of needy communities…

This time to various streets which entailed a door to door distribution of lunch packs consisting of sandwiches, fruit and juice, all courtesy of the Royal Hotel (Mr and Mrs Lee).

These projects bring great contentment to those involved, as the gift of giving is a gift itself.

Wandile Sibisi reached out to needy children, adults and street patrollers, who graciously accepted the yummy goodies.

Mr Bihaspat once again managed to encourage and motivate people who are genuinely in need by assisting them with food distributions twice in one week.

This community outreach marks the 187th outreach that has been completed by Mr Bihaspat and his team.

Recently, Lasec has been able to secure a humanitarian partnership with the much-renowned Tzu-Chi Foundation, who have pledged their support and willingness to assist.

Interested individuals in the community, who wish to participate in these drives or contribute to them in any way, may feel free to contact Mr Bihaspat on 0366330218 for more information.
