Ladysmith-born Natisha Makka is a top 25 finalist for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa

A star-studded red carpet filled with glamour and excitement kicked off the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Charity Ball dinner in aid of Women4Women that was  held at Emperors Palace in the City of Ekurhuleni on June 29.

While this annual event has earned a reputation for raising copious amounts of money for the Cancer Association of South Africa each year, it is also always a glamorous affair for many and this event was especially important to the 100 semi-finalists of the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa who gathered at this event.

The top 25 finalists for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa were announced on this night.

One of them is Ladysmith-born Natisha Makka.

There were many nervous jitters and smiles leading up to this event, and Natisha has stated that she is thankful for all the support she has gotten from friends and family.

“My family are my biggest supporters and I am thankful to have so many supporting me in this journey.”

Natisha started this journey on March 2 this year, when she was invited to the first-ever National Casting and Empowerment Workshop held at Emperors Palace.

‘Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa has gained the reputation of being all about the empowerment of women, and produces “very real” women of SA who are true role models.

The programme was created for married women who would ordinarily not be able to compete and be ambassadors for South Africa on a global scale.

This opportunity that has been created for Mrs South Africa participants is significant in every way and truly creates a ripple effect across the country.

Throughout the journey of Mrs South Africa, women are able to find themselves again and learn that they are never too old to follow their dreams and become voices of change, also empowering each other to reach those dreams.

Natisha hopes to represent our beautiful nation at Mrs World / Mrs Universe and thereafter will be actively involved with ‘Women 4 Women South Africa’, which is the official charity for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa.

To vote for Natisha, you can SMS SABC 3 NATISHA MAKKA to 35959.

You can also ‘like’ the official Mrs South Africa Facebook page and her picture.

The crowning of Mrs South Africa 2019 will take place at Emperors Palace on November 9.
