Breaking News: Cash-in-transit heist in Msinga area, KZN

Reports have come in of a cash-in-transit heist that took place this afternoon (July 11) in the Msinga area.

It is believed that a CIT bakkie was allegedly pushed off the road and that explosives were used to blow up the back of the bakkie.

The suspects are believed to be travelling in a Nissan Navara and a Fortuner.

The number of suspects involved in the heist is unconfirmed. It is also not known if all the money was taken by the suspects.

The suspects’ vehicles are believed to have headed towards the Muden and Weenen area.

Unconfirmed reports have indicated that the security guards were injured in the heist.

A message has been circulating on social media that the incident happened at Tugela Plaza. This is not true, as the heist occurred in the Msinga Tugela Ferry area.
