At least two people, possibly more, were injured in a meeting between ANC members on Sunday (September 17) at the Town Hall.
With a regional leadership conference set to take place during the weekend, a clash took place between the two groups of rival ANC supporters at the hall.
ANC members from the Okhahlamba region were invited to attended the meeting on Sunday, most of them supporters of the current provincial leadership.
A large number of delegates wanting Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) decisions nullified attended the meeting without invitation.

AÂ rift emerged as to whether the conference should take place or not.
The meeting at the Town Hall turned violent, with individuals allegedly assaulting one another.
Those against the meeting refused to leave, and security used force to remove them.
Police used teargas and rubber bullets to disperse the ANC members outside the Town Hall.
Public Order Policing (POP) officers intervened and two people were arrested for public violence.
The suspects were subsequently released pending further investigation of the matter.
