It’s all about helping those in need in Ladysmith

Co-ordinator Mr K Bihaspat from Project Cornerstone once again reached out to the community when he visited Hopelands Orphan and Vulnerable Centre in St Chad’s on Wednesday, October 4, where 40 children were treated to a lunch pack (assorted fillings) prepared and sponsored by the Royal Hotel.

Project Cornerstone has been established under the ministry covering and oversight of Christ’s Heartbeat Ministries International, which is a ministry organisation that is founded and run by homegrown, upcoming minister Matthew Lee. Under the guidance of Matthew, Mr Bihaspat delivered a dynamic speech titled ‘Do not be misled, bad company corrupts good character’. The students at St Chad’s learnt that “it’s always easier to pull people down than to pull them up.

That’s why you must make sure the people you hang out with the most are moving you in the right direction. They should be building you up rather than tearing you down.”

In conclusion, clearly emphasised was the point that, before you learn anything, start by steeping yourself in God’s word. It is the key to being successful. It will make you wise and the Bible says, with wisdom will come riches and honour.

The students sang songs of praise and gave thanks to Jesus for blessing them.

Thought for the week: “Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights.” (Proverbs 18:15)
