Update: uThukela fails to restore water, over 250,000 homes with dry taps in Ladysmith

In a bulk message sent out today (October 31), uThukela District Municipality apologises to the community for not restoring  water to the affected areas yesterday, as promised.

uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mhkhonza said: “There was a problem with the valves, but it has now been resolved at the Ezakheni Plant.”
“Water will be supplied at around 4pm today,” he added.
uThukela once again apologises to the community for the inconvenience caused.
